Street Lighting Highway Electrician
Location: South East

About The Role
Our client is currently looking to recruit Street Lighting Highway Electrician to work on their Surrey Street Lighting contract in Guildford.
As the Street Lighting Highway Electrician you will be part of their Street Lighting team who are responsible for Maintenance, repair and installation of the streetlights, signs and bollards in Surrey.
Key duties & responsibilities will be:
To visually inspect street lighting units
To electrically test to BS7671
To report any defects
Testing of networks and circuits
Act in accordance with all company and legislative Health & Safety requirements.
To ensure certificates are logged in a timely manner
To log attendance within each unit
To carry out any reactive repairs to return the lighting to an operational standard
To visually and structurally inspect street lighting units or supply points
To bulk lamp change and clean units externally and internally
To update inventory information on assets using PDA s/Tablets
To collect CMS information
Update as built information as required
To assist the routine maintenance operative as required
Daily Vehicle checks are undertaken, and the vehicle is kept clean & tidy
To ensure members of the public are kept informed of works and are not put in danger due to works being undertaken
Undertake standby and call out duties
Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
MEWP category 1b
G39
First Aid at Work
NRSWA Unit 2 or equivalent
Manual Handling
ECS Test
17th Edition Wiring Regulations
Part 1 / Level 2 Electrical Qualification or equivalent
Part 2 / Level 3 Electrical Qualification or equivalent
HEA Level 3 and 2391 Inspection and Testing - Desirable
