GT Agricultural Engineering are a true Engineering business who offer their farming customers repair and maintenance services for a wide range of farm machinery. They are a family run business and their young MD is a fine example of leading from the front by being hands on, and with their heritage in the industry they have an abundance of work already in place.
The job:
As an Agricultural engineer you ll be working either in their workshop near Holbeach or quite literally out in the field repairing and maintaining the machinery, majority of which is mechanical but there will be some hydraulic and electrical aspects. You will be permanently employed on the books which comes with the obvious benefits but the extra parts the company offer are:
30 days holiday
Hourly pay GBP12 - GBP15 per hour depending on experience
Company Van, kitted out with tools and racking
Overtime paid at 1.25 (and there is plenty of it)
Sick Pay
Company branded clothing & PPE - (they even have a washing machine)
Bacon rolls every Friday
What s required
Your experience is more important than your exam results for this opportunity, some of their current team have come from a main dealer farm machinery background but if you ve worked within a heavy industry environment maintaining and repairing plant or machinery you ll no doubt know what it takes, that determination to get the job done! Their factory is based on the outskirts of Holbeach so you will need to be able to drive to be able to get to the factory and also be mobile to go to customer sites, but dont worry you'll have a van to do so.
