Facilities/Security Controller

Location: Cheltenham, with travel to other sites

Salary: GBP30,000 to GBP50,000

Within this role you'll conduct routine Security and Facility management duties to act as the point of contact for all crisis management, business recovery and resumption plans across all UK sites.

Job Requirements

• Security Coordinator of the UK crisis management and business resumption capability

• Ensure each site in the UK is in compliance with the requirement of Command Media

• Support with annual site training on emergency action, crisis management and business resumption plans

• Control site access, issuing visitor/contractor security passes and liaising with reception to ensure records of visitors are maintained

• Secure the premises and the setting and un-setting of alarms as specified in the site specific instructions

• Respond and react to any incidents or security issues that may arise

• Weekly fire alarm tests.

• To log system faults that occur with the helpdesk and advise relevant engineers.

• Maintenance of the Access Control, Intruder alarm and CCTV systems.

• Many other Facilities and Security related Ad hoc duties

Experience/Skills

• Previous experience in a service or security environment

• Strong customer service skills

• Able PC skills (MS Office)

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Able to work without supervision

• Able to adapt to rapid change

• Must be willing and able to hold and maintain full UK Government Security Clearance
