Michelle Denny Recruitment is working alongside a successful business in Diss, South Norfolk, who are looking for a Senior Third-Party Claims Adjuster to join their specialist MGA organisation, whose niche is firmly embedded within the UK motor market. Salary is up to GBP29,000pa and is open to people who wish to be based in the office and/or partly from home.
In a perfect world, you ll have credit hire knowledge and come with either an insurer or brokerage background and feel at ease handling your own portfolio but the most important element is you; your character and your drive to be part of a professional, growing and friendly team.
The key responsibilities are:
Competently handling all aspects of third-party motor claims, up to a value of GBP50,000
Negotiating and handling detailed liability scenarios, managing a portfolio of litigated claims
Supporting and guiding less experienced colleagues
Acting as a technical referral point, supporting the team with day-to-day issues
Working alongside the senior management team to ensure a seamless service delivery, all developing first-rate working relationships with clients and all associated partners
Clearly explaining decisions on liability & negotiating settlement
Evaluating quantum and adjusting reserves accordingly You ll need to be / have:
Experience within motor claims and credit hire
Comfortable validating, investigating and negotiating customers claims
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise your own caseload
The ability to work to monthly targets, both for your team and at an individual level
Commercially astute, and able to assess claims based on economics and with the best interests of the business in mind
Strong negotiation skills and able to challenge where appropriate
Comfortable making quick and accurate decisions on liability, quantum and indemnity
The ability to spot and deal with potentially spurious claims
A good understanding of industry procedures, products and services
