The role of the Logistics Operations Expert ensures the smooth, compliant and customer-focussed daily management of ordering, logistics and invoicing operations for EAME primary movements from order entry until goods have been delivered at final destination.
This smooth daily management is achieved by close monitoring of service providers and by achiev-ing better alignment between connected service providers and related company functions
Dimensions
• Geography: supply within EAME and with APAC, LATAM, NA & associated CU's

• Customer scope: Intercompany, Direct Business
Accountabilities
• Process - Accountable for standardized cross-functional processes within Logistics and Or-der Management area and their continuous improvement together with the 3rd Party Service Provider
• Issue management - Responsible for the management of any escalated (level1) Order Man-agement and Logistics issues within appointed area of responsibility related to the daily oper-ations between OM, 4PL, Company sites, tollers, 3rd party warehouse and territories
• Improvement - Identify and pursue opportunities that will improve the level of Logistics and Order Management services for EAME customers.
• Alignment - Provide coordination and advice on supply processes in alignment with the 3rd Party Service provider in interface between given Territory / Region / Commercial Unit and ELOM
• Governance - Support Logistics Operations Manager in monitoring performance of 3rd party providers delivering Logistics and Order Management services
• Compliance - Ensure that service providers adhere to all business and company codes of practice
• Mentoring - Support and coach Key Users in understanding Company ways of working and current business priorities
Critical Knowledge
• Degree or equivalent working experience in Business or Supply Chain
• Fluent in English, both orally and in writing
• Detailed understanding of cross-functional Supply Chain processes
• Understanding of ERP systems, preferably SAP SD
• Training in dangerous good transportation regulation
Critical Experience
• 5+ years professional experience in a logistics supplier management or order management environment
• Good knowledge of processes linked to logistics (e.g. warehousing, customs, order mana-gement) and practices of SAP SD/MM and MS office with a particular advanced know how and practices on Excel
• A successful track record managing the delivery of outsourced services, including experien-ce of working with international transport providers (all transport modes)
• Proven contribution to cross-functional projects

• Ability to set direction and drive external party processes by managing service providers for the service, financial and compliance benefit of the company and its customers
• Ability to propose solutions for logistics or order management issues that take into account the trade-offs between customer, supply chain and third party requirements
• In-depth understanding of interconnected functions - Logistics, OM, Customs and HSEQ
Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities
• Eager to explore alternatives, pro-active attitude, consideration of long term implications and contribution to design changes
• Taking ownership of your designated area of responsibility - with a willingness to engage all related stakeholders in order to solve issues
