Area Sales Manager - Civils and Drainage Building Products

Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Civils & Drainage Building Products

Industry Sector: Heavyside Building products, Lintels, Drainage, Hard Landscaping, Geotechnical, Ground Engineering, Groundworkers, Civil Engineering, Brickwork Accessories and Roof Windows

Area to be covered: South Central (PO, SO, SP, BH, BA, SN, RG & GU)

Remuneration: GBP45,000-GBP50,000 Neg. + 15% Bonus

Benefits: Fully Expensed Plug In Hybrid Car + Full benefits package

The role of the Area Sales Manager - Civils & Drainage Building Products will involve:

Field sales role selling a distributed range of high quality drainage and civil engineering building products

Selling into groundworkers (national housing developers), drainage contractors, earthwork contractors and civil engineering contractors

Responsible for circa 45-55 contractor customers

Predominantly an account management/ account development position

Ledger/ turnover responsibility circa GBP12.5m

Inheriting an area performing currently performing just 2% below budget expectation

Working closely with internal sales team and depot manager in Hampshire

5-8 face to face appointments per week with customers and suppliers as well as numerous "virtual meetings" and telephone calls as required

Reporting on internal CRM and BI in-house systems

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Civils & Drainage Building Products with:

Must have a proven track record of field sales within the building/ construction industry

Ideally with some industry related product knowledge; e.g. Drainage, Civils Building Products, attenuation tanks etc.

Must have sold to contractors, ideally groundwork contractors, drainage contractors, earthworks contractors or civil engineering contractors

Does not have to of worked for a similar heavyside distribution business or a manufacturer selling into the same groundwork/ civil engineering contractors

Team player
