The HR Consultancy are working on behalf of our client to find an Under 11s Youth Work Delivery Manager for a well-established youth organisation in its mission to assist disadvantaged young people transition confidently into adulthood.

This is a brand new and very exciting role which requires the ideal candidate to be able to lead on a project from planning and initiation to managing the programme on an ongoing basis.

Young People First is committed to no young person being limited by disadvantage and works to help vulnerable young people to overcome their problems and succeed in life. The charity is recognised and respected as a specialist, early intervention service which reaches and supports some of Warwickshire s most vulnerable young people.

The Under 11s Youth Work Delivery Manager will oversee and guide the development of a vibrant programme of mainstream and therapeutic group activities that engage young people under the age of 11 from Warwick District.

Main duties include but are not limited to:

Coordinating after school clubs in schools, developing relationships with schools and other providers.

Developing additional programmes and activities within the community for under 11s and their families.

Managing relevant staff to ensure groups are well staffed and staff feel confident to deliver upon outcomes.

Responding to any problems or concerns that may arise and ensuring these are properly handled in accordance with the Young People First Safeguarding policy.

Overseeing professional meetings, providing support to workers before and after attending Early Help, Child In Need and Child Protection meetings, attending where required.

Recruitment and selection of staff & lead new staff through the Induction process.

The ideal candidate must have the following:

Experience of delivering activities with young people under the age of 11s

Management and project management experience

A good understanding of fundraising processes and applications within the charity sector

Ability to understand, empathise and form positive professional relationships with vulnerable and disadvantaged children

Understanding of safeguarding, child protection and associated responsibilities that ensure the welfare of children and young people

Please note that this is initially a 12 month fixed term role.
