Job Role: DAY SHIFT HGV TECHNICIAN / HGV MECHANIC / HGV FITTER
Annual Earnings: Basic rate of GBP16.00 per hour, overtime paid at time and a half, yearly earnings in excess of GBP40,000
Hours: An eight hour shift to be completed between the hours of 06:00 - 18:00 - Plenty of overtime available
Contract Type: Full time / Permanent role
Depot location: Nottingham
Motivated and Enthusiastic HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic is required for a successful Truck Dealer workshop in the Nottingham area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic to join a thriving workshop and be part of a forward-thinking company that looks after their employees.
Responsibilities of an HGV Technician
•Routine vehicle maintenance to DVSA standards.
•Preparation and presentation of vehicles and trailers for MOT inspection.
•Diagnosing of vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment.
•Good housekeeping and H&S requirements.
•Ensure all paperwork is completed.
Skills and Qualifications of an HGV Technician
•Level 3 / City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician
•HGV licence is an advantage
•Diagnostic experience
•Main dealer experience advantageous
•A commercial licence would be beneficial but isn't essential for this position
Working hours
The workshop hours on days run between 06:00 - 18:00, my client is looking for Technicians to work an eight hour day between these hours. At this time, overtime is always available and with an order book of over 10,000 vehicles being delivered before the end of 2022, there will continue to be as much overtime as you want.
