We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience as an Area Manager-Agricultural, Poultry Industry

This is a permanent vacancy, and the main purpose of this role is to provide overall responsibility to produce Broiler Farm chickens, within the specified area for processing at the Company's facilities, reporting into the Farms Manager

In your new role as the Area Manager:

You will be tasked with working to budgetary constraints
Responsible for budgetary control for the department of both employee and material resources
Staff Management and supervision within a specified area and control the activities of staff through a positive communicative management style. Staff performance and development

To gain a full understanding of poultry
Contribute to that department/ add value by developing requisite skills in this area in line with Company competency framework.
To monitor and control any negative environmental impact arising from the processes within area of responsibility; ensuring that all direct reports and colleagues are briefed and clear regarding their responsibilities as outlined in the Company Risk Management System Manual.
To manage, recruit, recommend appointment, transfers, and promotion of all staff under direct control.
To manage and direct the Farm Management team so as they achieve effectiveness in all areas ensuring that all Broiler farms operate consistently and smoothly to meet all targets,
Research and develop systems, procedures and products so that the Broiler growing departments remains at the forefront of technology and management innovation.
Regularly liaise with Veterinary/Nutritional consultants and the Laboratory in conjunction with Managers at all levels on issues of flock health status and performance.
Be responsible for all employees under direct control for health & safety, welfare, induction training and regular development through progress reviews
Ensure all complaints or queries received are handled promptly and professionally.
To manage and maintain noise levels, site security, vehicle movements, pollution, general appearance of site so that a professional public image of the company is always portrayed.
Ensure harmony, discipline and grievances are all dealt with and maintained.
The maintenance of production records as required by the Company.
To be aware of and ensure adherence to all relevant legislative and Company policies, procedures, and schemes, such that all standards are maintained in accordance with them.
Create and maintain regular daily farm visit reports and submit on a weekly to Company Broiler Farms Manager
On-call support for allocated farms within specific area (Lincs/EA/Ashbourne) + assist in this for other farms to cover for holidays/absence
Any other reasonable duties as required

Experience required:

Field Manager experience

Expereince in Broiler Growing experience.
Excellent organisation skills
Full Valid driving licence
People management experience in an advisory capacity
Computer literate
Attention to detail
Good communicator
Professionalism and confidence
Ability to handle livestock
Budget management experience
You will receive a competitive salary
