Hybrid working - 3 days in the office at Burnley
Main Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Planner works closely with customers, suppliers, and internal company departments to manage, analyse, and control the customer s production demand flow and to then set the material delivery requirements in the supply chain. The Supply Chain Planner has the overall responsibility for the maintenance and day to day operation of the digital resource planning system for demand processing and raw material supply. They shall be the primary focal point for receiving, clarifying, and processing all customer s demand. The Supply Chain Planner shall set the raw material delivery plan enabling their Supply Chain team colleagues to ensure the raw material is delivered and available for Operations use on time and in full. They shall also interface with key business stakeholders such as Operations to set the manufacturing plan, Project Management for customer demand trend analysis, and Finance for sales forecasting.
Key Tasks

Act as the business focal point for all customer demand. Engage with customers in ensuring the timely receipt of forecasts and demand schedules, clarify any anomalies, and communicate risk with the customer.
Input customer demand into a weekly requirement for the Operations team, to enable them to then schedule their production activities.
Using the Material Requirements Planning module of the VRP system, action and escalate all exception messages as required in the scheduling of raw material. Translate the customer demand to a raw material supply chain delivery schedule.
Raise purchase requisitions to ensure all materials are ordered as required and delivered on time, whilst issuing forecast coverage for longer term demand.
Analyse changes and trends in the customer s communicated demand so that any changes and trends can be modelled for their potential risks and impacts to sales, raw material supply, and production interruption.
Provide raw material impact assessments upon receiving revised customer demand signals.
Monitor and summarise raw material Supplier performance against agreed KPIs.
Manage inventory levels against agreed budget/targets.
Prepare the charts and KPIs for the monthly Integrated Business Planning reviews detailing the customer s current consumption performance, trend analysis, and the future longer-term forecast.
Support the Finance team in modelling future demand.
