Escape Recruitment are working with the newly appointed Head of Supply Chain who is looking to appoint a Procurement Lead, who will be responsible for a small team who are responsible for all indirect and direct spend.

The Procurement Lead will be responsible for leading, managing and mentoring the team to ensure the delivery of KPI's and targets. They will also be responsible for managing the relationships of Key Suppliers and managing major supply Categories.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

Motivate and mentor team members to achieve the procurement timetable
Co-ordinate the process for tendering of work by suppliers, ensure tender documents are prepared and dispatched to companies and organisations invited to tender, and that subsequent submissions are handled professionally until the order is placed
Ensure that a programme of supplier and sourcing reviews is carried out - ensure supplier performance and risk is monitored and managed
Develop and implement plans, approaches, schedules and improvement programmes to deliver ongoing monthly, quarterly and annual KPIs, SLAs and objectives for a department or unit
Maintain and build business relationships with suppliers to ensure delivery schedules are achieved and that favourable terms can be agreed with the supplier to suit business needs
Work with suppliers to identify opportunities to improve the level of services or reduce the cost of items purchasedKnowledge and experience required for the role:

You will have worked in a similar Procurement role and have in-depth knowledge of current Public Sector regulations
You will have delivered end to end complex procurement
You will have managed and developed successful teams
You have will have a passion for continuous improvement and improving processes and procedure
You will be driven, thrive in a fast-paced changing environment and not be shy of a challenge
You will have excellent communications skillsThis is an on-site role with on-site parking, 37 hour working week and a early finish on a Friday!
