We are seeking a Pricing Analyst for a logistics company based in Peterborough. This is a full time opportunity, working Monday to Friday, with a starting salary between GBP35,000-GBP40,000 per annum DOE.
This logistics business is fast moving working in a 3PL environment with client service and quality at the forefront of their company values. Working within the finance departing and reporting directly to the Operations Director, this position is vital to keep the business on track against budget and explore future growth opportunities. The responsibilities for this role include:
Cross checking supplier invoices and ensuring payments are being made on time and against the correct terms
Working directly with clients to ensure issues are rectified quickly
Liaise with the IT team to ensure any surcharges or additional tariffs are implemented to the costing system and quotes are accurate against variable overheads
Management accounts for the P&L, ensuring all costs are tracked with invoice and revenue recorded to produce to Directors on a monthly basis
Market analysis of competitors pricing and operating costs
Group profitability recording and identifying high performing client accounts and those underachievingThis role is Accounts focussed, therefore previous experience within a logistics and finance setting, is advantageous.
Requirements:
Knowledge and experience working within a logistics and/or courier environment
Production and interpretation of management accounts
Well organised and able to self-prioritise workloads
Knowledge of Microsoft based software and Sage 50, desirableThe company offices are in Peterborough and working hours are 09:00 - 17:30, Monday to Friday. On occasion the company may hold meetings in other locations or the City of London. If you are working from another location, expenses are all paid.
