Building up a team - our client, a small well respected mutual building society, based in the centre on Bath are going through an exciting period of business change and are currently looking to recruit new Mortgage Operations Administrators to their Mortgage Operations team. It s a great opportunity to join a mutual organisation and help them on their transformation journey building a platform for sustainable growth.
The successful candidates will have the flexibility to manage their working pattern between home and their Head Office in central Bath subject to agreement with the Mortgage Operations Manager. Although please note that during the initial training phase the Mortgage Operations Administrators will need to be able to attend the Bath office more frequently.
The role:
Mortgage Operations Administrators will provide efficient and effective administrative support as part of the mortgage administration team. To meet the demands of the department, the role will require a right first time attitude, a multi-tasker with a confident approach and strong organisational skills. The role suits a confident and accurate administrator with some financial services background and willing to progress with studying for a certificate in mortgage knowledge.
Role Responsibilities:
Take responsibility for the processing of new applications including Further Advances and Transfers of Equity up to completion.
Take responsibility for the accuracy of data keyed through to offer.
Undertake stage releases and retention releases.
Take responsibility for the processing of all aspects of redemptions.
Spreadsheet control as designated including Pipeline Management.
Processing of data changes/information requests for existing customers.
Working knowledge of the BACS system, to include cancelling and setting up Direct Debit instructions.
Ensuring all new applications are scanned to Laserfiche at offer and completion stages, and all subsequent correspondence is scanned accordingly to keep all account information up to date.
To assist with mortgage product building to enable to Society to launch new products and rates
To assist with data checking for the quarterly Product Sales Data and bi-annual Performance data to ensure the reports to the FCA are accurate.
Ad hoc tasks and projects as requested by the Mortgage Operations Manager within the scope of the role.
Skills & Knowledge:
CeMAP Qualification (or must work towards passing this within 12 months)
Administration and Customer Service experience
Ability to work unsupervised and to deadlines
Accurate data keying and checking skills
Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate by phone, letter & email.
Working knowledge of IT systems including any of the following: Activate, Summit, Microsoft Office, Laserfiche, WorldPay, BACS, & Hunter
