You'll be working for PAM in Telford. PAM is one of more than 30 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK and the premier supplier of ductile iron and cast iron products to the UK's key utilities, telecoms, highways, civil engineering, construction and housing companies.

The Role

Our Facilities Maintenance Operatives maintain and improve building conditions for the Telford site, including ensuring the offices, plant and ground works are maintained in accordance with required standards.

To support the business you will;

Adhere to all safety policies and regulations affecting their roles, including PPE, JSA, risk assessments etc.
Contribute to the development of a 'behavioural safety' culture through ensuring they record all accidents and near misses
Have a clear understanding of the Department activity plan and targets, and how they impact on plant performance.
Take responsibility for ensuring that standards of performance and targets are achieved on a daily and weekly basis.
Ensure daily/weekly resource is available to meet department targets, and take action to rectify where resource becomes unavailable.
Responsible for recording all work and information onto the computer system
Compliance testing such as emergency lighting, water checks, fire alarm testing.
Maintain and ensure that the conditions of pedestrian walk ways for the site are the required standard.
Maintain gullies, drains are kept free from debris.
Maintain appropriate records such as heating system records, oil readings, spill kit, fire hose checks and emergency lighting records.
Ensure adherence to all specifications and standards, and where there is an issue, ensure that that appropriate corrective action is taken, communicating efficiently to all concerned.
Ensure CSI is seen as a priority and that they understand what it is and how they impact on it.
Develop a 'continuous improvement' culture, through their involvement and participation in WCM projects, creation of one point lessons and raising EWOs, involvement in AM and 5S, use of basic problem solving tools etc.
In conjunction with Plant Engineer / Manager support the implementation and completion of appropriate WCM plans and projects.

Building and grounds work.
General wood working skills.
Tree maintenance

Working with a PPM schedule
Basic computer skills
Good communication skills.
