Job Title: Therapy Support Workers Minimum 30 Hours

Location: Kidsgrove Area  

Salary £10.50 per hour and double time will be received for bank holidays.

Hourly rate currently under review  

Shift Pattern: Days and Waking Nights over seven days on a rota basis (Flexibility required)

We are looking for experienced care/support workers who are reliable, flexible, and motivated individuals to work within our team 7, providing 2 to 1 support within the clients home. You will be working with a 32-year-old female client who enjoys going to the theatre, loves animals and likes people watching. The client has complex care needs and is peg fed, none verbal with no voluntary movement so is reliant on support for transfer and engagement. Due to personal care the family have requested female candidates only, with experience in complex care.  

Duties:

• Assisting with activities of daily living
• Engaging with the client using communication cards and sensory play
• Accompanying client to social activities
• Providing carry over of physiotherapy programmes.
• Provide personal care
• Supporting client to attend appointments
• Undertake mandatory and bespoke training in line with clients’ needs and requirements

Person specification: Due to personal care needs family have requested female candidates only.

Qualifications/Experience:  NVQ level 2 or equivalent would be preferable although relevant experience of working with someone with complex care needs and waking night experience is essential.

Special Requirements: Car driver is essential (Client has their own vehicle at therapy support worker disposal while on shift)
