Recruitment, Payroll & Training Assistant
Stoke on Trent / hybrid
GBP23,000 - GBP25,000
Grafton Recruitment are working on behalf of a global manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced Recruitment, Payroll & Training Assistant on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role in the business and will suit an energetic and dynamic Human Recourses Administrator/Assistant or Coordinator.
Reporting into the HR Manager, the successful Recruitment, Payroll & Training Assistant will be responsible for coordinating Recruitment & HR activities, including:
Payroll
Gather and collate timesheets on a weekly basis
Process timesheets through D365
Calculate holiday averages each month (UK and EU) for payroll input
Maintain absence records
Assist the HR Manager with payroll input
Recruitment
Create and post compelling job adverts on the company's website and recruitment portals
Receive, filter and distribute CV's
Liaise with candidates and recruitment agencies to coordinate interviews and chase on feedback
Assist HR manager in identifying the most appropriate talent attraction techniques
Reduce agency spend by focusing on direct hiring
Training
The responsibility for keeping the competency matrix up to date with the right requirements
Monitor and arrange renewal training for competencies expiring in the coming 3 months
Book and organise training for all sites
Filing of certificates (as well as uploading to D365)
Additional duties:
Accurately processing circa 200 timesheets weekly
Filling circa 30 vacancies in average
Monitoring expiring competencies and arranging for renewal training for 200 employees
Requirements:
Previous work experience as a HR Administrative Assistant, HR Administrator or HR Specialist role
Recruitment experience including sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates
Previous payroll experience - timesheet management including inputting hours - calculating overtime rates etc
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Knowledge of HR Tools
Strong knowledge of Office Package programs (excel mainly)
Organisational and time-management skills, along with a problem-solving attitude
Strong critical thinking skills, along with a good ethical judgment
High level of confidentiality
