About the role

Balfour Beatty Rail is an international leader in the design, construction, maintenance, management & renewal of rail assets and systems. We own, operate, maintain and supply a diverse fleet of On Track Plant and equipment to support our contracts and we currently have an interesting and challenging opportunity for a suitable candidate to join our MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) engineering team as a Stores Administrator based in our Kings Norton, West Midlands depot

Within this role you'll be responsible for maintaining & inputting engineering and vehicle maintenance information into an electronic database (FAMS Fleet Asset Management System)

What you'll be doing

As a Stores Administrator, you will have the following accountabilities:

FAMS Specific

To ensure compliance with the Companys Policies and Procedures on SHEQ Liaising with the Depot Supervisor to forecast MPV and Module scheduled maintenance and tracking the progress via a spreadsheet

Up-dating FAMS to close scheduled maintenance Work-Orders, including the electronic attachment of complete and certified maintenance documentation

Creating unscheduled maintenance Work-Orders within FAMS and subsequent closure on receipt of the completed and certified maintenance documentation (including electronic attachment)

Maintaining a register of unscheduled faults to capture a brief synopsis and repair hours consumed

Responsible for the ordering of MPV spares to satisfy unscheduled arisings and pre-provisioning for planned maintenance activities

FAMS management of MPV spares held on-site

Ensuring usage is captured within FAMS

Ensuring FAMS accurately reflects the stock levels held on-site

Training and Professional Development as required

Admin Specific

Liaising with NWR regarding the delivery and collection of resources and consumables, such as Sandite fluid, de-ice fluid, modules, removed components, etc.

Responsibility for all depot fuel ordering (Depot Manager to manage fuel stock holding)

Responsible for the procurement of Depot resources to maintain the operational tempo via an online Requisition system (Oracle R12)

To be trained as a depot First Aider & Fire Warden

To be trained and certified to drive the Depot 3.5T Forklift

To carry out Close Call walk rounds and record evidence and findings on ISMS

To work alongside the Depot Manager to record all Work hours, Leave & Sickness of the depot staff and to carry out trend analysis

Who we're looking for

You will have:

Strong experience of Microsoft office

Competent in the use of Fleet / Asset management systems (Desired but not Essential)

Good technical knowledge to enable component identification & query technical issues

Good resource management skills

Qualifications: (Desired but can be trained)

PTS

Forklift

FAW

Fire warden

Knowledge of health & safety legislation/risk management/COSHH awareness

Must meet and maintain the appropriate medical standard for the position
