HR Heads has a fantastic brand-new HR Advisor opportunity within an upscaling property services business based in Bournemouth.

The HR Advisor role is offered on a one-year FTC with a hybrid working arrangement - weekly travel to the office and a salary of GBP25-35,000 depending on experience.

The HR Advisor is a brand-new position, supporting the Head of People & department Managers, and a great opportunity for the right person to truly make the role their own.

The business is going through an exciting stage of growth and is looking for a driven & motivated person to join the team.

The remit of this role is broad and no two days will be the same.

You'll have an opportunity to work closely with all departments across the business to strive together for continuous improvement. It's a true generalist role that will not only give you exposure across the full employee lifecycle but the opportunity to get involved in innovative people projects too.

The role:

In this role, you will work closely with the Head of People and have a real breadth of responsibility from running day-to-day people operations, building scalable processes and supporting managers and their teams.

We re looking for an empathetic, curious, ambitious team player to join the team.

You ll bring expertise in people operations, and be comfortable getting hands-on and building out new processes from scratch, whilst also zooming out to see the bigger picture and work on more strategic people projects.

Key responsibilities:

You will be involved in all areas of generalist HR work.

Responsibilities include:

Lead the recruitment process, including directly sourcing candidates and maintaining agency relationships
Champion a smooth and effective onboarding experience for all new starters from offer to completion of probation
Be the first point of contact for day-to-day people operations and be the first point of contact for people-related questions and resolving any issues
Partner and coach line managers on people-related matters
Continually improve compliance training and regularly review the training available on the e-learning platform, ensuring it s relevant and fit for purpose.
Support in continuously improving our B Corp score
Support the delivery of the people calendar including the health and wellbeing agenda, arranging and promoting activities and initiatives
Continuously champion and seek opportunities to improve employee engagement
Be a values and cultural champion; you ll help us to evolve and develop our culture and ways of working as we continue to scale across multiple locations
Work closely with marketing and other departments to advocate our sustainability campaign
Oversee the company s and employees' Health and Safety requirements
Maintain the office management requirements
Collate monthly payroll data for the finance team
Coordinate volunteer activities and support in the arranging of staff events/socials
Partner closely with the Head of People and other leads across the business on key strategic projects, including how we build a high-performance culture and define career progression to how we develop our hybrid ways of working
Support on the delivery of the People Roadmap and projects, including continuous improvement of existing processes, pay reviews, talent management and diversity and inclusion, taking a lead role as appropriate
Maintain our HR System (Employment Hero) About you:

The successful applicant will have a solid background in generalist HR work as well as projects.

More important is your passion, drive and energy for making best practices and improvement at the heart of the HR team/department - to truly enhance the business growth and performance.

You ll need to have and be able to demonstrate your experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, customer-focused environment as well as your ability to provide quality HR support.

More specifically you ll have:

Strong knowledge and expertise in UK employment law, whilst always retaining a people-first approach
Experience and ability in designing and delivering presentations/ training workshops to team members and managers
The ability to build a strong rapport with stakeholders to gain trust and respect
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
A solutions-oriented approach with the ability to think outside the box
High attention to detail
Proven experience of working in a generalist HR role and dealing with all people issues throughout the employee life cycle
Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines
Ideally CIPD L5 as a minimum - or working towards (or equivalent)
Ideally, you may also be a mental health first aider or champion to support our priorities around mental health
