We have a position for an Assistant Marketing Manager to work on a new initiative launched by the consumer finance business, to help customers understand and improve their credit score. Based within the Marketing Conversion team for Credit Cards, Loans and Online Car Finance, you'll support the Marketing Manager with the build and development of a highly personalised, large scale multi-channel engagement programme. This communications activity will send targeted, trigger-based content to customers tailored to their credit status and appetite for credit in the future. The programme will run across Lloyds Bank, Halifax, Bank of Scotland and MBNA in email, IB and push notification channels.


Our Marketing Conversion team is a centre of excellence for conversion journey marketing activity across Paid, Earned and Owned channels. You'll work in conjunction with a number of teams in addition to the credit card, loans, and external agencies in order to implement plans effectively and deliver best in class conversion marketing across all of our brands.


Please note this is a 12month Fixed Term opportunity.


In essence, you'll be:

  • Working with the Conversion Marketing Manager to develop and deliver customer communications to achieve agreed targets, on time, within budget, and with appropriate risk approvals.

  • Working with colleagues across the wider team to monitor the effectiveness of marketing activity and ensure that all activity is tracked and demonstrates return on investment.

  • Delivering communications to customers that aligns to the different identities of our 4 consumer finance brands.

  • Supporting the delivery of structured email and IB test plans to consistently improve performance and ensure customers receive the right message, at the right time, and in the right place.

  • Liaising with colleagues (including the credit card, loans, Risk) collaboratively, to ensure effective campaign delivery.

We'll give you the tools and support to deliver extraordinary marketing activity, while building on the experience you already need to have:

  • Experience in campaign delivery with acute attention to detail. Plus, knowledge of email and the Internet Banking channel is desirable.

  • Experience of working to performance targets and metrics, and monitoring ongoing campaign efficiency.

  • Worked closely with creative / media agencies to best deliver against campaign objectives.

  • Demonstrate understanding and experience of multi-channel campaigns.

  • Track record of managing successful collaborative working relationships with internal and external partners to deliver shared objectives.

  • You'll be a key part of an enabling performance culture - "Think customer". "Try it, do it" and will have the opportunity to inform the development of new conversion capabilities as they come on board.
