Plant Engineer (Metal Recycling)

Our client is a global commodities group with an established presence throughout the metals markets. A vacancy currently exists for an Engineer to work at the company's metal processing Plant in Luton. The Plant specialises in the production of copper and aluminum granules as well as trade and other non-ferrous metal. The Plant Engineer will be taking an overview of the entire plant keeping a close eye on all machinery and installing preventative maintenance measures where necessary. The daily role will involve running the shredding/granulation plant and working with the head plant engineer to keep consistent production. Applications are invited from candidates with a mechanical background ideally in recycling, but this is not essential - experience in the automotive industry would be sufficient. Due to the nature of the industry/feedstock, every day is different and presents new challenges so you will often be required to think 'outside the box'. A forklift / Telehandler / teletruk license would be useful, however, full training can be provided.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity, 6am-3pm, Monday-Friday plus every other Saturday morning.
