About the role

This new role is for the position of Functional Safety and Cyber Security Senior Manager within the Arm Quality team. You will be working with a fast growing and strong team, ensuring compliance of market leading products for a best-in-class and successful company.
With applications in automotive, industrial, medical, aerospace etc. your ideas will make a difference and you will have the opportunity to improve how Functional Safety and Cyber Security are coordinated and integrated into Arm. The number of safety and security related products is constantly growing and now spans from individual IPs to sub systems and software.

Reporting

Working with the Head of Arm Quality, to coordinate and develop alignments with domain authorities across the larger Arm organisation that follow the Arm global Functional Safety management process and Security Development Lifecycle.
You will be involved with the Technology Strategy team to maintain and deploy the Arm Functional safety process and to help leading external assessment activities.
The primary markets requiring high levels of standard compliance are automotive and industrial; however, there are other sectors where functional safety standard and cyber security compliance is either desired or required, and this is encouraged to broaden in the relatively near future as the adoption of Arm technologies is taking place in many areas.

What you will be accountable for:

You will contribute to the continuous definition and improvement of the Arm Functional Safety process
You will perform Confirmation reviews that need the highest level of independence
Reviewing and the authority for the safety work products and to coordinate the assessment and audit activities.
Work with the development team to ensure the highest quality levels of the product.
You will deliver FuSa training to Arm engineers
You will plan and track assessments progress
You will help Arm groups in implementing the Arm Functional safety processes in an effective way through timely reviews and implementation of supporting processes such as configuration management and change control.
Experience with developing functional safety processes and documentation.

What skills, experience, and qualifications will you need?

Practical knowledge (5 years or more) of functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 (Required), IEC 61508, EN 5012X, DO-254, DO-178C, etc.
Practical knowledge (optionally, training will be provided) of one or more cyber security standards such as ISO 21434, IEC 62443, TISAX, etc.
Knowledge of the ISO 26262 Functional Safety and ASIL standard for automotive
Practical experience of process definition activities, either in a project or at group level
Experience as an auditor and with problem solving methodologies (e.g. root cause analysis, 5Y or 8D) preferred
Strong interpersonal skills to help develop relationships and network with key partners in order to influence and be a safety advocate
Experienced in the production of functional safety documentation
