Location: Worsley, Manchester
Days & Hours: Monday to Thursday 9am-4pm, Saturday-11am-4pm every other weekend, Sunday-11am-1.30pm every other weekend, these hours can be worked by more than one person and there may also be the possibility of additional hours to cover day and evening shifts, as well as the possibility of occasional sleeping night shifts and trips away.
Pay: GBP10.50 per hour, Monday to Friday and GBP12.60 per hour, Weekends and Bank Holidays
Driver required? Essential
Driving Clients Car? Yes, our clients Wheelchair Adapted Vehicle (WAV) - automatic
Using Own Vehicle for work purposes? Yes, on duty and to attend training
Essential: Care work experience.
Desirable: Experience supporting adults with physical difficulties. An interest in therapy.
Family Pets: 2 dogs

Start Date: ASAP (subject to satisfactory employment checks, which we expect to take 4 weeks)
Our client has a bubbly personality and sense of fun. She loves looking her best and her personal appearance is very important to her. She is very sociable and absolutely loves mini breaks and holidays away with her family and support workers.
Our client suffered a severe brain injury. She cannot walk and uses a wheelchair. She has regular therapy sessions and has an exercise programme which you would need to support her with. She loves going out for lunch at the local pub and likes to try out new activities, although she requires encouragement as she lacks motivation.
You will be joining her small care team where you will be taking direction from our client's parent and Case Manager to ensure that she receives all the care she requires. Our client will require full assistance with her daily routines and all of her personal care needs and she has a specific hygiene routine that needs to be followed. Hoisting, monitoring her health and providing stimulating company whilst assisting with all daily activities to include therapy and leisure activities.
This role will suit someone who is calm but very proactive and able to bring lots of enthusiasm and is a wonderful opportunity to join a supportive family and care team where you can make a real difference to our client s life by maximising her opportunities and promoting her independence wherever possible.
Pay and Benefits:
GBP10.50-12.60 per hour, depending on shift as above
On-going training & support provided
5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata
