Mobile Caretaker
Paignton - covering the South West
GBP20,790 - GBP21,884 per year
40 hours per week
We are looking for a Mobile Caretaker to join our Estate Services team based in Paignton. The role will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining communal areas of properties and schemes ensuring the properties are ready to re-let once tenants have moved out. Covering the South West region, the role will include a company van and tools required to complete tasks. We are looking for a proactive individual who will complete tasks in a timely manner, to a high quality and who works well within a team.
The role of Mobile Caretaker will include:
Undertaking general caretaking duties including cleaning void properties and areas including the stairs, doors and windows, removing bulk waste, fitting carpets and basic onsite repairs
Grounds maintenance tasks to include lawn mowing, hedge trimming and general upkeep
Working with customers to identify faults, resolving issues and improving services
Completing all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed
Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition
Skills and experiences:
Literacy and numeracy equivalent to Grade C English and Maths GCSE
Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks
Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
Good communication and customer care skills
This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
