Logistics Assistant
Sector: Healthcare
Working days and hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
Working location: At a Hospital
Job Type: Temporary
Duration:This is expected to be 3 months with a possible extension
Location: Camberley or Wexham (one needed at each site)
Working from home: All based at site not at home
Pay Rates: GBP10.69 paye inclusive of Holiday pay
Start:ASAP
You will also be responsible for:
To carry out the distribution and collection of supplies to all departments on site ensuring no goods are left without departmental signatures. This will involve the use of electric vehicles.
To assist with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
To receipt goods onto the Trust e-procurement system.
To assist in the collection of goods for return in liaison with the relevant buyer
To assist with maintaining the department to a safe, clean and tidy standard including the correct storing of goods to be held in the Distribution area.
To carry out additional tasks as requested by the Logistics Manager.
To be aware of Health and Safety issues including the policy of manual handling and to take reasonable care for the safety and health of themselves and others who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work. He/she is also required to co-operate with the Trust to ensure that statutory and departmental regulations are adhered to.
To participate in any training considered necessary.
To comply with the general Trust Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
Picking and packing of product held within the Logistics remit.
Collection of all empty cages, tote boxes and pallets
