Linux Platform Engineer, Linux Systems Engineer, Oxford/Remote, up to GBP600 per day Inside IR35
We currently require an experienced Linux Platform Engineer/Linux Systems Engineer to join a leading organisation based-in Oxford, on an initial 6-month contract. As the Linux Platform Engineer/Linux Systems Engineer you will work extensively with the development, QA, and support functions that company devices run on. As the Linux Platform Engineer/Linux Systems Engineer you will be working extensively with Linux Servers, hardware, storage, networking, programming, and performance testing.
This position will operate on a hybrid working basis with ideally two days per week onsite in Oxford and the rest remote - although due to the hardware focussed nature of the role, the successful Linux Platform Engineer/Linux Systems Engineer may be required to come into the office more frequently as required. The contract has been deemed inside IR35.
As the Linux Systems Engineer/Linux Platform Engineer you will ideally have the following skill sets, experience and knowledge:
- Strong experience with Linux - ideally Debian/Ubuntu
- Hardware experience (desktop and server architecture)
- Linux storage and filesystems
- Networking
- Scripting
- Python
- Git
- Frontend Development
