Due to an increase in demand and our busy Summer season, we require an additional Production and Packing Assistant to join our friendly and busy team on an ongoing basis starting asap. We are paying GBP10 per hour plus paid holiday pay, working Mon to Fri 45 hours per week with free parking and weekly pay. Permanent roles are available if you are interested or we will also consider students seeking Summer work only.
We are a leading manufacturer of a specialist fresh and frozen product which we supply to customers across the UK via our distribution network for online orders. The role requires candidates who are happy to be standing during the day and who are happy working within an environment that is time critical given our production and shipping requirements. You should be happy working in a chilled and frozen environment and also handling our raw products.
Your main production duties will be as follows:-
Taking in deliveries of a variety of raw materials in bulk and allocating to the relevant production areas.
Preparing the products through a variety of large and small scale production machinery.
Cutting, trimming and bagging up and sealing of raw products on a small and large scale basis.
Should you also be asked to work in the packing area too your duties will include:-
• Picking stock ready for despatch by courier in the freezers
• Picking stock and forwarding to the despatch area from the freezers
• Packing stock and orders into boxes
• Wrapping and packaging
• Loading stock onto pallets
• Labelling boxes and individual items
• Unloading deliveries into the site
• Using packaging equipment
• Assisting with stock checks
Candidates should be happy working in both the production and packing departments of our modern site.
You should be happy working within a manual role and have a good eye for detail and accuracy to ensure our goods are despatched accurately and on time. We will provide safety clothing and full training in the use of our equipment but you must be happy working in a hands on role, on your feet and within a chilled environment of production and picking areas. In return we can offer Mon to Fri hours, weekly pay, holiday pay and free parking.
