Purchasing Manager - Bedfordshire - GBP45k
My client is a leader in the design and manufacture of auger filling equipment. They are looking to take on a purchasing manager who can lead the team and also operate as a hands-on buyer.
The ideal candidate will be able to Identify and utilise best-practice and ensure that this is communicated and utilised throughout the team.
Key responsibilities:
+ To order parts in a timely manner to suit machine build schedule
+ Build relationships with local suppliers
+ Devise suitable KPI's in
Key skills:
+ Knowledge of MRP systems
+ Able to review all KPI's and identify opportunities to improve supplier performance
+ Worked within a manufacturing environment.
+ Ability to negotiate with suppliers on price and delivery
A professional qualification such as CIPS is desirable.
