1st Line Service Desk Technician
To provide ICT deskside support across the NHS Health and Justice (H&J) arena, which could include any of the following:
HM Prisons and Youth Detention Centres
- Police Custody Suites
- Magistrates Courts
- Crown Courts
- Immigration Removal Centres
- Sexual Assault Referral Centres
- Secure Training Centres
- Secure Children's Homes
The support delivered can range from basic PC and printer support to network connectivity, which could include network Switches, through to Firewalls and WAN connectivity via HSCN. There is also an expectation of software support, including Microsoft Office, Electronic Patient Records Systems such as ExceliCare and SystmOne, and NHS Smartcards. Full training in ExceliCare, SystmOne and NHS Smartcards will be provided.
As part of your duties you will be expected to aid in the procurement of any items required along with any logistics needed to get the deliveries to site on time.
This job requires you to have a full, clean, and valid UK driving license along with access to suitable car as may be expected to drive to various locations within the UK.
You will be expected to undergo DBS, NPPV level 3 and HMPPS Cat A Security Clearance vetting if you are not already vetted, with a failure to do so or failing to achieve the vetting resulting in the termination of your employment. You must obtain and maintain your vetting to continue in your role.
The Base of Operations for the Service Desk Technician is split across three main locations:
- Office based Chelmsford, Essex,
- or any other location deemed suitable,
- or home based.
