Aura Power is a solar PV and battery storage developer based in Bristol with projects under development in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Canada and the US.
We are looking to recruit a Business Development Associate to support our solar, battery storage, and electrolyser development in the UK.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Project origination of solar farm developments and energy storage projects in the UK; • Approach and liaise with key stakeholders, including landowners, grid networks, and planning authorities, to build a business case for renewable energy projects; • Management of the key risks of projects, including: o Assess the feasibility of new projects and recommend how they are progressed o Provide input to technical drawings to optimise the site layout and access o Build good relationships with landowners and key stakeholders o Assist with land option and lease/purchase negotiations o Monitor and review the status of the project, identify issues and develop solutions to mitigate such issues
Key attributes and experience:
• Previous sales or business development experience encouraged. • Batchelor's or master's degree desirable but not essential. • Knowledge and understanding of planning and environmental legislation is preferred. • Commercial awareness and acumen. • Knowledge of and interest in the energy sector. • A driving licence is required. • Must have an existing right to live and work in the UK.
The job can be offered as a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) or a part-time role (minimum of 30 hours per week). The company endorses flexible working practices for all staff.
The job requires travel around the UK and some international travel. Pay will be dependent on experience.
