Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join our successful supply teaching team and to work in a local Secondary Academy in Grantham, this role starts in September 2022. This is a temporary position with Ad Hoc work available

About the role

The desired Cover Supervisor will be supported by an outstanding and passionate management team, and will work alongside some excellent practitioners, who put children at the heart of everything they do. Cover supervisors do not require Qualified Teacher Status. They involve delivering pre-set work for a variety of subjects while ensuring the continuation of education for all pupils. The Cover supervisor role is ideal for those looking to go into teaching. They provide a perfect opportunity to gain experience, giving you a great insight into working in schools.

The school is a Secondary Academy in Grantham working with students from KS3 through to KS5. The school is a dedicated and supportive environment, always encouraging personal growth for staff. Their child centric holistic approach provides a warm and caring environment for their students.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Cover Supervisor you will:

Experience of working with young people in some capacity, e.g. coaching
Must have experience working with students capable of exhibiting challenging behaviour, ideally experience with ADHD and Autism
Great classroom management skills
Have a passion for working with children
Ideally a degree, but this is not essential
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

Experience of working with young people in some capacity, e.g. coaching
Experience working with Autism
