Production Controller
Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP35,000 per year
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 7.45 am to 16.45 pm and Friday 7.45 am to 2.15 pm.
The role:
We are looking for a Production Controller to work closely with our Project Management team. You will be maintaining the Group Production Planner, controlling the workflow through the shopfloor and co-ordinating the material to support production.
Responsibilities:
Managing all material planning through our system.
Issuing and releasing jobs for both machining prep and manufacturing.
Lead initiatives to create and effectively utilise planning strategies to drive the production scheduling requirements.
Prepare, maintain, monitor, and measure production and prep capacity against KPIs.
Ensure timely feedback on any issues.
Ensure production output goals and customer deadlines are met.Requirements/Experience:
Production Planning: 1 year (Required)
Experience in production planning processes - ideally gained in a steel fabrication setting or working within a manufacturing environment
The ability to accurately update and maintain management information systems - ideally experience in using StruMIS is preferred
Confident in using Excel spreadsheets
Ability to learn and use new IT systems
Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise/schedule workloads
Read and understand Engineer's Technical Drawings
Understanding of supply chains and associated lead times Benefits:
