Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) is looking for a Data Quality Analyst - 12-month Fixed Term Contract to join our team based in Cheltenham or the option to work remotely within the UK is also available. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of GBP24,500 per annum, depending on experience.

The Data Quality Analyst role:
This role would suit a motivated individual either looking to develop their career in an analytical role, or someone who already has experience in a data environment who is possibly looking for a move into the higher education sector.
Responsibilities as our Data Quality Analyst?
Identifying, assessing, monitoring, documenting, and communicating potential quality issues in how data is collected, stored, and processed
Identifying, comparing, and resolving data quality problems as it is submitted
Evaluating dataset/queries for quality and accuracy to determine business impact level for data quality issues
Researching and determining the scope and complexity of the issue so as to identify steps to fix the issue?
Maintaining a record of original and corrected data processes while building the steps: data profiling, quality rules definition and automation
Analysing, querying, and exploring data according to defined business rules and procedures
Conducting peer reviews of data quality documentation.
What we're looking for in our Data Quality Analyst:
Educated to higher education level, or have equivalent work experience
Experience working within an Agile environment
Numerate
Excellent oral and written communication
Good time management and organisational skills are essential as this is a very busy team
Able to understand data quality assurance
Experience working within the Higher Education sector
Experience using Microsoft communication and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Teams, SharePoint)
Experience using software tools to support project delivery (e.g., Azure, DevOps, Jira and Confluence) would be advantageous

The salary range for this post is circa GBP24,500k dependent on skills and experience.
