The company
My client, a well-established construction company based in Loughton, are looking for a IT Service Desk Analyst to join the infrastructure and support team. You will be with supporting the wider business with resolving desktop & server issues and and providing technical assistance.
Duties
• To provide 1st and 2nd line support
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve the queries either over the phone, in person, or via remote access
• Provide first line support for the infrastructure. (WAN, LAN, Servers, Backups, DR etc.)
• Log and record support tickets via ITIL compliant ITSM platform
• Maintain great time management and prioritise accordingly to ensure ticket are resolved within the companies SLA's.
• To recognize and escalate queries to team members and the line manager a when necessary
• Work with 3rd line support and external companies on challenging queries and configurations
• Build, configure and install IT hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, smart phones etc.)
• Upgrade hardware/software to maintain support, optimisation and security
• Assist with the control and management of hardware, software and company IT assets
• Deliver basic training to users on how to use computer systems
• Monitor systems and services to pre-empt issues and identify potential optimisations
• Help to ensure that system documentation is kept up to date.

Technical Knowledge/Skills
• Windows 10 and Server 2008R2 or above
• MS Office
• Good hardware knowledge
• Understanding of Networks (WAN, LAN, OSI Model)
Desirable but not essential
• Working knowledge of IP
• Understanding of Cat 5 cabling
• Server Management
• Qualified to MCP, A+ or N+ standard
• ITIL qualification
