Near Newport Pagnell, with flexibility to work in a hybrid style (2-3 days a week in the office)/
Does your customer service/service desk experience, ideally gained in a fast-paced environment, include analysing and troubleshooting technical hardware and software issues and building great relationships with colleagues and customers? Are you looking for an interesting and rewarding role that's a great mix of service desk, operations and data reporting and analysis and comes with an early finish every day? Then my client could have the perfect opportunity for you.
One of the UK's most trusted providers of advanced mobile technology, my client is a thriving SME that works with some of the most recognisable names in retail. And, right now, they need an enthusiastic and client focused service desk professional like you to join their friendly, high performing team.
Responsible for providing efficient and effective 1st line support, you'll be dealing with incoming queries and help requests from a variety of end users, either via email or over the phone. As well as asking questions and taking detailed notes of the problem involved, you'll need to determine the steps needed to resolve the issue, while at the same time managing the flow of incoming requests. Supporting and troubleshooting data related issues, investigating and documenting the cause of incidents, evaluating risks to the integrity of data and supporting user acceptance testing - all are part and parcel of a typical week's work.
To succeed, you'll need to be well-organised, with proven service desk and incident and change management experience, excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills and bags of confidence and initiative. Strong attention to detail and a positive 'can-do' attitude are important attributes too, as is a flair for customer service and the ability to develop brilliant working relationships with colleagues and customers alike. In terms of IT knowledge, you're proficient using Microsoft Office and Outlook and have intermediate level Excel. And, if you have retail experience or are familiar with ITIL processes and/or Jira Service Desk, even better - though full training will be given.
Working hours are currently 5.30 am - 1.30 pm Monday to Friday, plus occasional weekend and bank holiday cover, so you'll need to be flexible and adaptable. And, because the location is rural, access to a car would be a definite plus as public transport wouldn't be an option.
If this sounds like the kind of role you'd relish, get in touch today. To apply, you know what to do. Don't worry if your CV isn't up to date, just send what you have and we'll deal with that later. All applications will receive a response
