A fantastic new opportunity working within a Housing Association as a Reporting Accountant based in Didsbury. The position is an immediate start for a 3-month temporary role. The hourly rate advertised for this role is between GBP22.00 - GBP26.00.
Client Details
My client is a Not for Profit and Charities housing organisation based in South Manchester. They are a committed local housing company and are passionate about providing excellent homes and customer care. My client manages homes across the Northwest and Cheshire, providing services for tenants, residents and the wider community.
Description
The key responsibilities of the Reporting Accountant will include, but may not be limited to;
Prepare the monthly management accounts, year-end statutory accounts and any regulatory returns
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget
Assist budget holder to operate an effective system of purchase order and invoices
To train new budget holders in financial processes and procedures
Produce reports, detailing expenditure against budgeting
Liaise with budget holder to monitor forecast
Analyse financial benchmarking data
Implement arrangements to payroll and pension entries
Prepare VAT returns and meeting HMRC requirements
Undertake the day-to-day administration of accounting software
Provide financial analysis, identifying the different contractor costs allocated to client budgets and evaluate the volume and value of work
Design financial analysis
Ensure that all staff reporting to the post are trained and appropriately managed and developed in line with performance management scheme.Profile
The successful candidate must possess the following skill set and experience;
Ability to travel to Didsbury
Part qualified and/or qualified by experience
Background working in a general finance operation
Experience of supervising or leading a team
Advanced accounts and general ledger skills
Background of preparing budgets, management accounts, statutory accounts, cash flows and corporation Tax/VAT returns
Strong excel skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Ability to problem solve issues
Able to organise own workload and meet deadlines
Ability to work in a professional manner
Good attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills and able to manage multiple activities
Able to make improvements to own service area and manage deadlines.Job Offer
