Location - Refresco UK - Kegworth, East Midlands (just off Junction 24 of the M1)

Refresco the world's leading independent soft drink's manufacturer, have a fantastic opportunity for a Health &Safety Manager to join the site leadership team at our Refresco UK Kegworth site.
Reporting to the Site General Manager you will provide full support and advice to your site colleagues to ensure effective leadership and management of the safety programme with the ultimate aim of delivering the UK's HSE improvement agenda.
You will be responsible for driving forward the HSE management systems, building engagement and consistent behaviour and will also contribute to a team of HSE Managers working across our UK sites to ensure consistency is achieved and best practice is shared.
About the Health & Safety Manager Role
The Kegworth site is a 24/7 operation with approximately 400 employees. As HSE Manager you are an important role model and member of the site leadership team. You own and manage the site HSE objectives, HSE training, audit schedules, non-conformances and close outs, employee liability claims and PPE requirements. You will need to manage and report on accident statistics, environmental annual permit returns, and KPI's.
You will be responsible for driving a consistent approach across all HSE activities on the Kegworth site. Driving forward the HSE management systems by influencing the management team, whilst working with the operations team to ensure compliance. Liaising with other site HSE Managers and the Senior Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to contribute to achievement of consistency and best practice between sites.
About You
Experience of working within a manufacturing and engineering environment is an advantage but note essential. You will need to have worked in a Health & Safety role previously with responsibilty for HSE compiance, regualtions and reporting. You will need up to date knowledge of UK HSE legislation and formal NEBOSH qualifications. A formal Environmental qualification is again an advantage. as a minimum. Most importantly you will be confident, a good communicator, able to hold your own and push back when needed with colleagues on the site leadership team and in the daily / monthly meetings, and most imporatnlty are passionate about what you do.
Salary and Benefits
Competetive salary, 38 hours a week (Mon-Thurs 8:30am - 5pm, Fri 8:30am - 4pm). This role comes with a package including personal healthcare, bonus, pension, life assurance and free onsite parking.
