Senior Management Accountant GBP45,000 per annum - GBP65,000 per annum Daventry Permanent SF Recruitment are excited to be working with a fantastic SME, Enginerring & Manufacturing business to find a Senior Management Accountant to join the team. Reporting directly into the Finance Director, the key responsibilities of the role are to ensure accurate maintenance & reconciliation of accounting records, budgeting and periodic reporting of revenue, profit and cashflow and production of monthly management accounts. Our client is considering a broad range of experience levels as they are willing to offer a high level of development. Responsibilities: - Analysing financial information to assist business profitability and growth - Providing accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decision making - Producing month end and year end journals - Preparing management accounts and by supporting the preparation of statutory accounts, to include variance analysis, commentaries and all supporting working schedules - Ensuring all revenue is recognised appropriately - Ensuring all actual costs and anticipated costs are correctly recorded and reconciled to expected costs - Contributing to the annual budgeting, costing and planning processes - Reviewing accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations - Understanding the roles and responsibilities of others in the team to cover for absence - Carrying out the consolidation and analytical review for review by Head of Finance - Ensuring all postings for engineering contracts are in line with the project contracts - Providing analysis of project status, budgeting and actual financial reporting to include variance analysis and commentaries - Reviewing and summarising project work in progress - Developing and implementing systems to improve workflow and communication - Developing relationships with Project Managers and a knowledge of the specific contract details - Maintaining the weekly cash flow projections and summaries - Commercial awareness: the ability to make sound business judgments 'on the spot', awareness of small business needs and how to develop the business - Being result and target driven - Customer Service Excellence: To listen to customer needs and respond accordingly. - Compliance with all departmental H&S requirements - Compliance, where appropriate with management, & environmental, systems, such as ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 Skills & Experience: - Advanced Excel (data manipulation), PowerPoint, and Word skills. - Administrative Skills: Completer/finisher; Continuous Improvement: Implement and set up new systems. - A can-do attitude, ability to provide solutions/best practice for business requirements - Experience of Costing/Project Costing, WIP, Accruals accounting - Previous experience in the manufacturing sector preferred - CIMA/ACCA/QBE considered
