Position: Financial Accountant
Salary: GBP55,000
Location: Milton Keynes/ Hybrid model - 3 days from home
Due to significant growth, an exciting position has arisen for a Financial Accountant to work for one of the fastest-growing UK-owned Healthcare firms. This is an award-winning organisation that provides excellent training and development and values its employees.
The Financial Accountant will be heavily involved in the day-to-day running of the multiple global entity accounts and ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements. This is a broad role with a mix of traditional reporting responsibilities, tax and assisting with projects to build the finance infrastructure for the next phase of its growth plans.
- Prepare month-end reporting activities including balance sheet reconciliation and analysis
- Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts, activities and statutory accounts including global tax and AFS/IFRS preparation
- Assist the Financial Controller with the yearend audit process and relationship with external auditors.
- Design, implement and maintain financial global controls and risk environment by ensuring policies and procedures are being compliant across the company.
- Management of the accounting system, Chart of Accounts and cost centre structure
- Assist on ad-hoc financial projects plus involvement of group projects to manage the financial impact of group-wide projects. IFRS conversion and ERP system replacement are planned for 2022 along with an expansion into new countries.
- Manage the headcount and bonus calculations for financial reporting
- Assist Financial Controller on the management of global tax and transfer pricing
Experience Required:
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) with recent and relevant PQE experience
- You will be someone who has had experience of ensuring financial control (Process, People, System) and helping the company drive its performance targets
- Demonstrate success in delivering accurate and timely outputs
- Experience working in multi-country and currency environment
- Proven track record of working with group and stand-alone companies as well as control environments
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge (IFRS, FRS101 FRS102, UKGAAP, VAT / TAX)
- Strong excel skills including pivots and formulas to enable manipulation of data Previous experience in IFRS conversion, system change projects, M&A activity is an advantage.
- Previous industry experience, Pharmaceuticals, clinical trials, and life science is preferred but not essential
