Payroll Specialist

Rutherford Briant are recruiting for a Payroll Specialist for a highly regarded accountancy firm of Chartered Accountants based in Basildon. Our client is ideally looking to recruit a ambitious and professional individual who possesses at least three years worth of previous payroll experience from within either industry or practice. This role would suit someone who is looking to further their career in a progressive yet professional environment where personal development is prioritised.

In this role you will be operating as a key member of the Payroll team, being heavily involved throughout the whole payroll cycle working with both your own clients and supporting the team where required. You will gain the opportunity to manage a portfolio of your own clients, where you will be encouraged to develop strong relationships and ensure a high standard of support is maintained.

What you will need:

• Minimum of 3 years payroll experience.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
• Experience in processing auto-enrolment pensions.
• Experience in using payroll software such as Sage or Xero.
• Solid oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• CIPP qualified and accounting knowledge is desirable.
