We are looking to recruit an experienced Highways Engineer (min 2-3 years) to join a leading Highways contractor.
With over 13,000 employees and a turnover of GBP1bn, working across the UK and Europe providing consultancy services, engineering, project structuring and operations support across many sectors, including: transport, urban development, building, industry, water, environment and energy.
Duties will be:
* You will be responsible for the planning and completion of projects and you will also support all operational activities on the schemes taking place throughout the area.
* You will be responsible for labour, subcontract and material resources, ensuring that they are available as and when required.
* You will be involved with the process of ensuring the timely procurement and payment of suppliers and subcontractors.
* Preparing and submitting weekly reports on progress for review including; project's financial CVRs and forecasts to completion.
* Attend monthly meetings with client to discuss project delivery and progress on the works being delivered.
* Working closely with internal and external traffic management teams to deliver the works, as necessary.
* Identifying and allocating resources internally and externally to the defect works alongside the planning team.
There will be an element of engineering works involved so a proven track record in highway or motorway maintenance will be essential and a degree in civil engineering would advantageous.
