We have an opportunity for a Shift Team Leader, reporting to the Business Unit Manager.
This hands-on role will support the day to day running of the service area while also performing daily operations. Key responsibilities will include:
HSE
•Ensure machine checks are completed regularly
•Complete daily HSE checks within the department, undertake and support risk assessments, near miss & accident investigations
•Ensure team members are aware of all HSE policies and procedures and their obligations to wear correct PPE
Efficiency
•Make sure all equipment is fully utilised
•Liaise with Shop Floor Controllers on a regular basis to confirm production plans
People
•Ensure company policies are adhered to within the service area
•Arrange shift patterns, holiday/absence cover to ensure continued operation and output
•Ensure skills flexibility across the department
•Motivate team to improve business KPI's and hit targets
•Hold frequent Team Meetings to ensure high level of communication
•
The ideal candidate should also possess:
•Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing business needs
•A good understanding of HSE
•Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP
•Good people management skills with sound communication skills
Confident numerical skills with the ability to monitor and analyse production targets
