An exciting opportunity for an FLT Counterbalance / Yardperson to join our client's firm in Shropshire. Our client is a well-established and respected engineering and manufacturing company that prides itself on its excellent client base and quality of product / service. The role itself will report into the Warehouse/Goods-in Manager and will primarily involve ensuring the smooth running of the goods-in function of the company. The role itself is 50/50 FLT and non-FLT work.
Your Time at Work
• Issuing goods to shop floor and delivering shop order kits
• Liaising with departments about W.I.P material issues
• Booking in goods - raw materials and spare parts and within specific time frames
• Checking the quality of materials
• Stock Taking, including perpetual count throughout the year
• To ensure that all safety procedures and systems are followed
• Good understanding of 5S
Yardman Duties
• Keep on top of tidying the outside area
• Unload and check in pallet deliveries
• Assisting with dispatch when needed to load/unload necessary orders
• Comply with all Health and Safety regulations as well as all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Our Perfect Worker
- Driving license (due to company location)
- FLT Counterbalance license.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to read and understand internal and external documentation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Hard worker.
- Physically capable.
Advantageous skills would include
- Previous experience as a goods-in operative.
