Chartered Building Surveyor

THE ROLE

I am seeking either a Chartered Building Surveyor to join my client, an international firm of construction and property consultants in Manchester.

You will be involved in working on existing buildings (some historic) and some new build projects.

Buildings are varied and include residential and commercial.

You will do both project and professional work plus some maintenance.

THE COMPANY

My client is a successful firm of construction consultants providing Quantity Surveying / Cost Management, Project Management and Building Surveying services on large projects across the UK and also abroad.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Chartered Building Surveyor.

You will need to be working for another firm of construction consultants or multi disciplinary consultants in the construction industry.

You will be MRICS qualified with around three years or more post graduate experience having become fully chartered.

You will need to have broad based building surveying experience.

Experience of determining client requirements, prepare scheme designs with cost, programm and procurement of projects, condition surveys, tender documents, advise on energy efficiency, environmental impact, offer technical due diligence for acquisition and disposal, management and supervision of maintenance, deal with planning applicatons and advise on property legislation and regulations, dilapidations, feasibility studies, health and safety advice, prepare insurance assessments and claims etc.

You must have excellent English to write formal reports and documents, to chair meetings, take minutes etc.

Salary is negotiable according to your level of experience but will be in the range of GBP40000 to GBP60000 per annum plus pension, RICS fees, health insurance, life insurance, health cash plan, income protection, season ticket loan, 26 days holiday and bonus.
