The Company
Our client is a leading Engineering company due to growth they are now looking to recruit a Engineering Coordinator.
The Role
- Participation/ completion of product assessments and cost estimates.
- Receipt of purchase orders; assessing lead times for materials and labour in the form of simple project plans and materials then order acknowledging and completion of internal contract control documentation.
- Completion of supplier purchase orders and progressing collections/ deliveries.
- Issuing work instructions (including occasionally Inspection and Test Plans) and other documentation work record requirements.
- Co-ordination of welding, NDT, machining and other services.
- Progress communications to customer and internally.
- Identify, document and help solve quality issues and make improvements.
- Work closely with management and team to maintain excellent service levels to clients as well as sharing best practice and client feedback to support continuous improvement activities
The Person
- A strong technical background and understanding of engineering principles.
- Demonstrable commercial experience, preferably within industrial sectors e.g., Rail, Marine, Power Generation.
- Understanding of fabrication processes, methods and modern manufacturing techniques.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Excellent organisation and time management; able to prioritise and plan effectively, working under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Able to make balanced decisions in a variety of situations.
- Computer Literate; familiar with Microsoft Office packages.
