Cover Supervisor
Hours: 30 hours per week x 39 weeks per year
Salary: NJC Grade D, Point 8 – 14 pro-rata (Actual Salary £14,478 - £16,303 – starting at point 8)
Tor Bridge High in Plymouth, rated Good in all aspects by Ofsted in November 2021, was described as a school where “Teachers’ high expectations of pupils means that work is well presented and completed to a high standard”, that “The school prides itself on learning free from disruption...pupils enjoy school and say that they feel safe” and “Staff and pupils have strong relationships”. As well as this endorsement Tor Bridge High has been oversubscribed consistently for many years.
We are seeking to appoint a colleague as soon as possible whose responsibilities will include the supervision of groups of students working in a classroom for absent teachers and tutors. The successful applicant will have the ability to communicate effectively and will enjoy working with young people. Previous experience would be advantageous, though not essential as on-site training will be available.

- Can you support students in the classroom with all aspects of their literacy and numeracy?
- Are you resourceful, energetic and well organised?
- Do you possess excellent communication skills?
Minimum qualifications 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) to include Grade 9 - 4 in English Language and Maths, and 2 ‘A’ Levels. Experience working with young people aged 11-16 years desirable.
