Select Recruitment Specialist, are working with a client in Lincoln to find an experienced and highly motivated senior administrator with significant Apprenticeship or community database experience.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Placement Service Manager and working within a very busy team you will be a regular point of contact for students and businesses, as well as management and academic staff across the whole of the Academic Faculty.

Senior Administrators are involved in the administration and record keeping which must complement the requirements of the course and the needs of the student. The successful candidate will manage these differing requirements, with many overlapping projects and deadlines. They will be in regular telephone and email contact with employers, external to BGU, to provide appropriate support to the apprentices, mentors, and Apprenticeship Support Officers.

Senior Administrators will also be expected to develop specialism across specific areas. Currently these include regulatory Frameworks, the use of data and the use of specialised software.

Applicants should possess significant experience of working in a very busy office environment whilst working under pressure and managing competing deadlines. It is also necessary to have experience of maintaining positive relationships with external and internal contacts and have effective and accurate office and administrative skills.

Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent IT skills (WORD, Excel, databases, email, internet) including the accurate collation and extraction of data.
Effective and accurate office and administrative skills.
Able to work to tight deadlines and prioritise and organise own work
Ability to assess systems and record, monitor and report on financial and performance information
Excellent communication skills for both verbal and written communication (including email and formal reports/ presentations)
Ability to take a pro-active role in project teams
Knowledge of Higher/ Further Education systems and procedures
Creative approach to problem solving

Experience Required:

Experience of working in a very busy office environment, working under pressure and managing competing deadlines.
Experience of maintaining positive relationships with external and internal contacts.
Experience of giving client-centred customer service
Experience of being a proactive problem-solver
Experience of presenting to groups in formal and informal settings
Experience of using initiative to undertake assessments and develop reports, including clear, realistic options and recommendations for improvement
Experience of developing and delivering defined projects

Hours Monday to Friday 37 hour.
