Lecturer Psychology

Part Time – 0.46 FTE

Are you a first-class Psychology Lecturer who is committed to developing the skills and expertise of our degree students on Levels 4, 5 and 6? If so, we would love to hear from you.

You will have excellent subject knowledge and can demonstrate an ability to combine academic rigour with excellent student achievement. It is essential that candidates should be qualified to at least L6 in Psychology or a related subject and have suitable teaching experience. If you have the technical expertise and experience in teaching and learning but don’t yet hold a teaching qualification, we will support you with this.

Possession of a Masters level qualification or the willingness to embark on this would also be desirable and candidates must demonstrate a genuine interest in the subject area.

There are a diverse range of modules on our Foundation Degree in Psychology (Level 4, Level 5) and BSc Psychology of Human Behaviour (Level 6). We will accept applications from those wishing to deliver a proportion of the teaching.

Contractual Details

Rate of Pay or Salary: £22,265 - £29,525 pro rata per annum

Working Time: 828 hours per annum of teaching and equivalent professional duties over 198 days, for full time posts and pro rata for part time posts. You will be expected to be on site for 34 hours per week pro rata during the whole academic year.

Contract Type: Permanent

Pension: Teachers’ Pension Scheme

Leave entitlement: 38 days per year plus bank holidays (pro-rated for part time) plus additional discretionary days at Christmas.
