Due to a recent contract win, a leading facilities maintenance company are looking for Resident Engineers to be based on site in Southampton to ensure all pre planned and reactive maintenance work is carried out.
This is a single site position and will require you to work any 5 days in 7 (typically 1 weekend on, 1 weekend off) with Friday/Monday as rest days. Hours are typically 7am to 4pm but on some occasions you may need to work out of hours which will be paid at overtime rates.

To carry out planned maintenance on site - emergency lighting, fire alarm testing, sprinkler testing, PAT testing, electrical fault finding
Mechanical planned maintenance such as air handling units, pumps/motors, water testing
Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the building are completed and be proactive in
highlighting areas where improvements can be made. These reactive calls to also include
fabric related items.
To participate in the on call rota
Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works.
To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.
Ensure that all relevant paperwork and CAFM updates are completed regarding PPM, reactive
and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator.
