Nicholas Howard is delighted to be recruiting for an Insights Analyst for a leading UK FMCG business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled data/insights analyst to further their career within a leading and reputable organisation, in providing valuable support to strategic decision making through data analysis and visualisation skills.

Purpose:

* As Insights Analyst, you will be identifying macro trends, assess market performance of brands & competitors, determine drivers behind market/promotional performance, gain understanding of consumer behaviours and consumption trends.

* You will work in close partnership across various functional teams as well as with Insights team members and external agencies to guide business growth strategy.

* One of your core challenges would be to drive data-led insights into the marketing decision making process and NPD /EPD evaluation, ensuring where possible, that decisions are driven by a rigorous, fact-based approach.

* You'll be passionate about understanding shoppers and consumers, how macro trends and tactical in-store activities influence their shopping and consumption behaviours across retailers and channels.

* You will have exposure to Market Mix Modelling and other Analytics type work

What you'll be doing:

* Guide Marketing Leadership Team & relevant Marketing and Sales functions with business analysis as requested

* Identifying macro/shopper/consumption trends and potential impact on the business

* Monitoring innovation performance and conducting ad-hoc analysis as needed

* Leverage modelling to answer business questions

* Ownership and accountability for regular market performance reporting, creation of new ones as needed

* Data visualisation: ensuring data is presented in a visually appealing and in a way that is easy to understand

* Drive key themes for our annual Trends Day as part of the strategic planning process

* Admin ownership of Insight Knowledge Hub

What we are looking for:

* Passion for data and analytics tools; open to explore new ways of analytic approaches

* Strong experience working in FMCG Industry in category, marketing or research functions, market research agencies, or significant experience working with data

* Highly numerate, with visualisation skills and an ability to bring together data and information from multiple sources to tell a story and translate what it means for the audience's perspective, and form recommendations

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

* Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities and to keep sight of deadlines
