PHP Web Developer
Web Developer / JavaScript / PHP / GBP50,000 / Redditch / Hybrid
We are working with one of the UK's leading electronic manufacturers to recruit exceptional web developers, below you can find a brief specification list for this role.
They are looking for a passionate developer who will keep on top of development trends, feed new ideas back into the business and ensure the company are pushing the boundaries when it comes to website functionality and user experience. It will be your first priority to ensure seamless, accurate and timely delivery to clients according to the agreed project specification, deadlines and budget as well as identifying opportunities to continuously add value.
MAIN TASKS:
- Develop the back end of a bespoke web application
- Develop the back end of other new and existing web projects
- Help improve DevOps processes including automated testing, continuous integration and deployment.
- Issue tracking, bug finding and bug fixing of all web applications
- Quality control of all web updates
- Provide technical support to website users (both employees and customers)
The candidate must have:
- Solid understanding of object oriented programming (MVC)
- Experience developing with PHP and MySQL or similar technologies
- Experience using MVC frameworks (e.g. Symfony)
- Experience using AJAX and REST APIs
The ideal candidate will also have:
- Experience using Unix command line and Apache/Nginx
- Experience with DevOps and continuous integration and deployment systems.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML5 and CSS for synergy with front-end developers.
- Knowledge of Ansible and other automation tools
- Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React/Vue
